The Alabama Association of Conservation Districts (AACD) is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that represents Alabama’s 67 conservation districts and the 335 individuals who serve on their governing boards.

AACD’s mission is to promote responsible management and conservation of natural resources by representing locally led conservation districts through grassroots advocacy, education and partnerships.

Founded on the philosophy that conservation decisions should be made at the local level with technical and funding assistance from federal, state and local governments and the private sector, AACD supports voluntary, incentive-driven natural resource conservation programs.
